Cookie Policy
Learn about how RustSurvivor uses cookies to provide, improve, and protect our services.
Cookies are small text fragments sent to your web browser by a website you visit. A cookie file is stored in your web browser and allows the Service or a third party to recognize you, making your next visit easier and the Service more useful to you. They play a vital role in keeping your sessions active and securely authenticated.
When you access the RustSurvivor website, we may place several cookies in your browser for the following reasons:
- Authentication & Session ManagementTo remember that you are logged in using Steam and to keep your session secure across different pages of our dashboard.
- Preferences & SettingsTo store your layout preferences, theme choices, and specific server settings logically.
- Security & Fraud PreventionTo prevent CSRF attacks and block unauthorized attempts to log into your account.
These cookies are critical for the website to function. They handle user authentication, account security, and session management. Cannot be disabled.
These record choices you make to personalize your dashboard experience, ensuring your settings are retained on your next visit.
You have the right to decide whether to accept or reject non-essential cookies. You can set or amend your web browser controls to accept or refuse cookies. However, if you choose to reject essential cookies (like session tokens), you will not be able to log in or use the RustSurvivor dashboard.
In addition to cookies, the dashboard uses browser local storage to cache panel data (team lists, chat history, map preferences) on your own device so panels load faster between visits. This data never leaves your browser and can be cleared at any time from your browser settings, or by using the Clear Chat option in a server panel for cached chat.
To learn more about managing cookies across various browsers, you can visit commonly used independent resources like AllAboutCookies.org.
